Today we return to the section and we come to tell you two stories of some of our most loyal summer customers.

PEDRO AND MARIA JOSE A LIFETIME OF SUMMER HOLIDAYS IN BONTERRA

We start with Pedro Ayllon, 74 years old, and Maria Jose Puertas, 72 years old. Both from Terrasa in Catalonia, they have been spending every summer at Bonterra Resort for 46 years.

They tell us that since 1978, when they first came to Bonterra, the campsite has changed a lot and they have seen many generations and many improvements. When they first came to the campsite, they were two young parents with a 2 year old boy and a baby girl who was only a few months old. They came in search of peace and quiet, the beach and shady pitches. In those years, the Bonterra campsite was covered by large pine and eucalyptus trees that covered almost all the pitches, through which squirrels jumped and sometimes even stopped at the pitches to visit them. They also remember with great nostalgia those summer afternoons when they used to take their children to the beach in their cots.

And so the summers went by, where they initially came to spend a month and where they have seen both the campsite and their children grow up. Today, Pedro and Maria Jose spend up to 4 months with us and are watching their grandchildren grow up creating new memories at Bonterra Resort. They tell us that they keep coming back every summer because for them it is their second summer residence. Nowadays, in their day to day lives they seek peace and quiet, they go shopping in the village, take long walks in Benicassim and on the beach, go to the swimming pool or just relax in the shade on their plot of land while they look after each other.

PACO AND RITA, BENICENSES AT HEART

Paco Zurita, 73 years old, and Rita Milla, 70 years old, have been spending their summer holidays in Benicassim for 36 years. They tell us that although they are from Torrent in Valencia, Benicassim is their home town. The first time they came to Bonterra was in 1988 when her daughter was only 2 years old and her son 9 years old. Their children have been creating memories and growing up in Bonterra and have made friends with whom they meet every year in summer. That is why they appreciate their stay in Bonterra so much, because they feel that their neighbours are part of their friendships and they like to meet up with them and share chats and meals. Today, they keep in touch with these friends throughout the year and visit each other when they are in their home towns. In fact, they tell us that they have even visited each other when they have become parents.

One memory that is still fresh in their minds is the first day their granddaughter walked. They were at the pitch with their daughter when suddenly their granddaughter Amelia got up and started to walk staggering through the streets of Bonterra. Nowadays, they take care of their granddaughter while their children work. Therefore, they dedicate their daily life to taking her to the activities at the campsite, to the swimming pool, shopping, going to the village in the evenings for a drink, walking on the beach or going to the gym.

They assure us that they keep coming back to Bonterra because they appreciate its tranquillity, the friendly and helpful staff and because they have everything close to the campsite. They don’t have a car, but they don’t mind because the bus stop to Castellón is right in front of the campsite, the beach is a 6-minute walk away and in just 10 minutes they are in the centre of Benicassim. Also, if they need to return to Torrent, they can take the train from Benicassim station to Valencia and then the direct metro to Torrent.

As you can see, we have loyal customers who year after year trust us for their holidays and feel Bonterra Resort as their second home. There are thousands of stories like these that we will continue to tell you in our next blogs.
