In today’s blog we are proud to tell you that we have been awarded a new accreditation: the S for sustainability.

As you already know, one of the main priorities of our campsite is our ongoing commitment to protecting the environment. For this reason, we put into practice measures and rules of action that favour its conservation so that we can all continue to enjoy the environment as we find it. Thanks to this and many other practices that we carry out in the campsite, we have been awarded the accreditation.

In order to meet these sustainable development objectives, the first step has been to train our quality staff by attending workshops for the integration of sustainability in the company, workshops to deal with climatic emergencies and workshops on team management and effective communication based on a sustainability plan.

But not only do we train our employees in environmental awareness and responsibility, we also encourage our customers to participate in these practices to help us in conservation through multiple communication channels to inform, involve and raise awareness of these policies. For this reason, we hold environmental workshops with children from the animation department through which we try to raise awareness among children of the importance of caring for the environment and recycling.

Another priority at Bonterra Resort is our commitment to people. Not only do we care about ensuring the enjoyment of people with functional diversity by offering adapted activities and facilities, but we also participate in programmes that guarantee their inclusion and collaborate with associations such as Caritas.

Finally, we have implemented various measures at the campsite to be able to adapt to all needs. One of them has been the use of renewable energies with the implementation of solar panels in various parts of the campsite in order to be able to generate electricity and reduce consumption. In addition to the future implementation of electric recharging points for cars. Another of these has been the reduction of water consumption thanks to measures such as drip irrigation or the remodelling of our swimming pool, reducing its depth and therefore the amount of water used.

In addition, we have renewed mobility within the campsite with the implementation of electric vehicles for all our workers and even the use of the leaf collector and electric forklifts.

And of course, the installation of various recycling areas within the campsite where you can find recycling points for glass, cardboard and paper, plastics and packaging, oils and batteries with access for all customers and our small internal ecopark where we have containers for hazardous waste, contaminated plastics, household appliances, aerosols, batteries, contaminated metal containers, debris, metals, wood and pruning.

Furthermore, at Bonterra Resort, we try to behave with integrity and proximity, seeking excellence, innovation and continuous improvement, always integrating technical and human skills.

With this new accreditation, which joins those already obtained previously: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, Q Seal and SICTED, our commitment to the environment and sustainable work is reaffirmed and reinforced, encouraging us to continue with our commitment.
